Power-plant and steel-mill maintenance and precision blasting are exacting endeavors. They require a relentless commitment to safety. But for us, it goes deeper than that. Day in and day out, our people are working in sensitive environments, doing some of the most challenging work there is. The one thing they need to know for certain is that every possible measure is being taken to ensure their health and safety.

Graycor’s pursuit of safe practices begins at the highest level. Every Graycor division, including Graycor Blasting, is focused on a corporate-wide “Zero Injury” goal. We pride ourselves on the professionalism of our full-time safety staff and organizational dedication to employee training. A wide range of safety and health training is conducted on an ongoing basis at our corporate headquarters.

As part of a progressive safety initiative called the Committee of 10, Graycor Blasting experts are instrumental in effecting constant process and equipment improvements through our expertise in the field and on the front lines. This is just one of the proactive procedures designed to keep our focus on safety fresh.

Graycor’s Committee of 10 is a rotating committee of people drawn from all parts of the company. This group is responsible for tackling the very real challenges of how to improve and perfect the way we work, the worksite and the equipment we use. It makes each of us part of the process.
