Air quality and environmentalWith sensitive schedules, comprehensive work scopes and complex worksites - often in fully operating power plants - environmental projects present their own unique set of challenges. Most of the time, these kinds of projects have demanding schedules and involve intricate retrofits.
Our team meets these needs with detailed constructability studies, planning and project management. New generationHere in the Midwest and all across the country, there is a relatively new movement taking shape. Merchant power facilities, including fossil fuel, coal, natural gas, other alternative fuel plants and wind farms, are becoming an increasingly vital part of the power-generation landscape.
At Graycor, we have the knowledge, experience and resources to help clients rise to the construction challenges of this burgeoning market. We have built combined-cycle and simple-cycle projects over recent years that have included the installation of multiple-turbine generator sets designed by various manufacturers in a variety of models.

NuclearGraycor Industrial has been providing construction services to the nuclear industry since the early 1980s. With the recent re-emergence of interest in nuclear energy, the demand for construction services is once again on the rise. According to the Nuclear Energy Institute, as of February 2009, 30 countries worldwide were operating 436 nuclear reactors for electricity generation and 45 new nuclear plants were under construction in 14 countries. Graycor Industrial provdes a wide array of services to nuclear facility owners including, but not limited to, the construction of dry cask storage facilities, fire loops, cooling towers, office and training facilities, as well as various balance-of-plant work. In addition, in order to meet the stringent quality requirements in the nuclear arena, Graycor Industrial's quality procedures for this market are based on the requirements of the ASME NQA-1-2008, "Quality Assurance Requirements for Nuclear Facility Applications," Part 1 and the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 10, Part 50, Appendix B, "Quality Assurance Criteria for Nuclear Power Plants and Fuel Reprocessing Plants."
