Graycor Settles into New Phoenix Office, with Staff and Clients Enjoying New Amenities

When Graycor Construction chose to relocate its Arizona office from Tempe to Phoenix, the main goal was to create a contemporary, collaborative environment for staff and clients that not only provides more needed space for the growing office, but also reflects the core values of the company.

Graycor now occupies 7,000 square feet of office space at 4600 E. Washington Street, a five-minute drive from Sky Harbor International Airport. The bright, open-plan layout provides sweeping views of South Mountain, ongoing commercial airplane traffic to the South and multiple signature Phoenix Valley landmarks to the East.

Working with Phoenix-based interior architectural design firm McCarthy Nordburg, the office design takes inspiration from the company’s Chicago headquarters. The new office features huddle spaces for interdisciplinary collaboration, and a spirit of openness and transparency is fostered through a concept of no-door executive offices. Taking cues from tech startup companies, the state-of-the-art conference room includes video and teleconferencing capabilities, as well as a ping pong table to encourage recreational interaction. A contemporary kitchen/lounge area, exposed ceilings, a colorful palette, and custom artwork incorporate Graycor’s culture and brand into the space.

“Our changes reflect who we are as a company – creative, knowledgeable, sophisticated and future-focused,” said Todd Ostransky, General Manager of Graycor. “We have a tremendous local team that is not only advancing our industrial and tenant improvement pipeline, but also our office, retail and hospitality opportunities.”

The seven-week, fast track build-out was managed by Graycor.

“It has been very exciting to be part of this project, as I get to see my team members enjoy a new office,” said Graycor Project Manager, Perry Gordon.
