Melt shop

The first phase of this multi–phased project included furnishing and installing a new pipe bridge from the baghouse to the basic oxygen furnace building. Then our team installed a fume collection system, including the baghouse, dust silo, duct and roof canopy. Graycor crews were also responsible for the baghouse′s piling and foundations, in addition to structural, electrical, piping, siding, lead abatement and painting work.

The final phase of melt shop construction involved equipment setting for the electric arc furnace, LMF and Consteel Conveyor System. Previously, Graycor completed repairs to the No. 4 reheat furnace at the steelmaker's Mingo Junction, OH, plant and equipment setting at the 80–inch hot strip mill in Wheeling, WV.
