Anchoring The Promenade Bolingbrook is the 143,000–square–foot Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World retail megastore and restaurant. The premier destination outdoor retailer chose Graycor Construction to build their facility — an expansive showroom and boat service center featuring world–famous boat designs. Truly an entertainment destination, the shop contains an archery range and the 8,500– square-foot Islamorada Fish Company restaurant, which includes a room–dividing 8,000–gallon saltwater aquarium. Unique in architectural design and themed to the store′s Illinois region, the shop sourced materials from across the nation, including log column wraps from northern Montana, Missouri limestone surrounding the exterior′s quarter–acre water feature, and Wisconsin granite dressing the lodge and restaurant fireplaces and structural stone columns. The store has a lodge–style exterior and rustic interior wherein its main clerestory soars 60 feet above the main floor, making the structure ideal to house its 30–foot waterfall that cascades into both a 15,000– gallon freshwater aquarium stocked with native fish species and a 7,000–gallon canyon pool.
