The Promenade Bolingbrook is a 1.1 million–square–foot open–air regional lifestyle center built on two separate pieces of undeveloped land (the south and north parcels) that were linked to form a seamless shopping destination covering more than 120 acres. Partnering with Cleveland–based developer Forest City Enterprises, Graycor Construction′s work consisted of building an open–air regional lifestyle center to house a department store, fine arts theater, and various locally and nationally known retail tenants including the anchor, Macy′s. The south parcel′s buildings — nine in total — feature architectural elements such as a signature tower and structural archways. The north parcel includes retailers, such as IKEA; Bed Bath and Beyond; and Staples. Our team also built a Bass Pro Shops store as part of the center. In addition to site improvements, we also performed significant infrastructure work to widen Boughton Road, a major thoroughfare to the center. Site improvements for future phases of retail, restaurant, hotel and car dealership parcels were also included in the project.
