WFGD retrofit

This project included replacing an existing flue–gas desulfurization (FGD) system with wet flue–gas desulfurization (WFGD). The new scrubber system will more efficiently remove sulfur dioxide from the flue–gas emissions.

The retrofit project also included installation of an eight–cell, electrostatic precipitator and two axial ID fans, as well as all sitework, foundations and structural steel. Importantly, this project also called for capabilities and expertise in process construction for the building of an absorber vessel and all process equipment and piping systems.
