As Chief Executive Officer of Graycor, Dave leads the organization with a servantship leadership approach that advocates for the power of teamwork and manages from the bottom up to create an inclusive and empowered workforce. Dave joined the company in 1991 as an engineer and has served many roles for Graycor. Believing that people are the most vital asset in any thriving business, Dave prioritizes the organization’s commitment to continuously invest in their growth and development. Recognizing the strength of an organization lies in the unique talents and experiences of its employees, building a culture that consistently leverages these strengths across the entire enterprise ensures Graycor provides the best talent to our projects and delivers exceptional services to our valued clients. In collaboration with the executive team, Dave works towards strengthening the organization, driving growth, and delivering optimal results for our stakeholders, both internal and external. Key areas of focus include: 1) Monitoring and promoting Graycor's culture and values; 2) Engaging in short, mid and long-term strategic planning; 3) Developing talent pipeline and succession readiness for senior and executive roles; 4) Implementing company strategies into daily operations to meet objectives; 5) Overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the business; and 6) Developing strategies to improvement management practices and introduce efficiencies across all business operations. Dave is a long-time enthusiast for classic muscle cars and sports vehicles but deep down, his true passion is the cherished moments he shares with his best friend and beloved wife of 30-plus years. You can also find Dave unwinding alongside his family near any body of water—a pool, ocean, lake or river. Dave holds a bachelor's degree in construction management and engineering from Bradley University.

Steve serves as Graycor’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), ensuring the company’s strong financial foundation and clear fiscal direction for the future. He does this through the deployment of consistently sound strategies, continuous process improvement and management through the steady achievement of key performance indicators. Steve has served in lead finance roles for over 15 years—experience that has taught him the importance of maintaining positive and productive relationships, and open lines of communication with internal team members and external financial partnerships. In this way, Steve is always forward-thinking, with an eye toward the development of his team and maximizing the financial health of the Graycor organization. In his free time, you’ll find Steve with family and friends. He is a proud husband and father of two boys, and a fan of the outdoors—whether it’s the lake, the golf course or an enjoyable day in his own backyard. Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Western Michigan University and an MBA from the University of Iowa.

As President, Tim provides executive and strategic leadership to the company’s commercial and industrial operations, coast-to-coast. Since joining Graycor as an intern in 1995, Tim has grown to become a leader who embraces the importance of Graycor’s culture, defining objectives, core values and reputation—all of which frame our strategy in how we do business. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Tim focuses on leveraging our people's strengths and resources to drive sustainable business growth and advancement. Tim’s responsibilities include building and expanding our efforts to ensure long-term growth of the business through financial stability, growth and development of our people, a best-in-class experience for our clients and operational excellence of our teams. Working alongside Graycor’s leadership team, Tim is committed to continue building our corporate culture of performance excellence, continuous improvement and innovation. Outside of the office, you can find Tim on the golf course perfecting his swing or pushing his physical limits running marathons. During the winter months, Tim enjoys hitting the slopes of his favorite mountain ski resorts. Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Northwestern University. He is a LEED Accredited Professional, a State of Illinois Registered Engineer in Training, is a Certified Design and Construction Professional (CDP) by International Council of Shopping Centers and a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Illinois member.

As Payroll Manager, Christine manages all aspects of Graycor’s salaried and craft staff payrolls, including processing payments and analyzing processes to ensure tax, liability and compliance requirements are met at the state and federal level. She collaborates closely with our payroll vendor and with internal accounting staff to streamline changes and reporting to the proper accounts and projects. Christine has been a Certified Payroll Professional for over 20 years and boasts four decades of overall payroll experience. She has worked in the healthcare, manufacturing, higher education, warehousing and transportation sectors, including payrolls of 10,000+ employees, and is experienced with system implementations and multi-state environments. In addition to being a board game buff and game show guru, Christine enjoys time with her two adult children and is the hostess with the mostest, entertaining and hosting large family gatherings whenever she can.

With more than 10 years of experience in construction, estimation and project management, Nathan serves as Manager, Construction Technology and champions Graycor’s strategic adoption of technology-driven solutions organization-wide. He leads with a hands-on, tech-forward approach to enhance operational excellence. Nathan leads the integration of construction software to enhance operational efficiency and project outcomes. He collaborates with Graycor’s field and office teams across all business units to streamline processes, optimize workflows and provide support with our digital project tools. He aims to empower our teams by aligning project goals with technology integration and by simplifying complex challenges into scalable solutions. Nathan and his family love being active in the great outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, kayaking or golfing, and exploring new places. He also enjoys putting some elbow grease into restoring and working on old cars as both a hobby and creative outlet.

As Director of Safety for Graycor Construction Company, Rob directs organizational and safety planning from the project to senior management levels, with a steadfast focus on and commitment to the company’s “Zero Incident” safety culture. Across 25 years in the construction industry, Rob has managed safety services both nationally and internationally in the healthcare, public works, hotel, manufacturing and logistics markets. Since 2018, he has put those skills to work at Graycor, leaning heavily on his leadership and planning skills to coach and mentor Graycor employees and subcontractors, develop safety innovations through testing and feedback, manage and develop the Graycor Safety Team, and lead the company’s Building our Culture of Care program, supporting both physical and mental health. At home, Rob enjoys all forms of bike riding, both on the trails and indoors. When he’s not riding, you can find him spending time with his wife of 25 years and their two adult children. Rob holds a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety from Illinois State University, is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and founding member of Build Safe Chicago.

As Preconstruction Manager, Steve guides Graycor’s preconstruction teams to ensure projects are set up for success. He is responsible for leading and collaborating with our teams on strategically significant pursuits and ensuring the consistent application of preconstruction and risk management best practices. Steve joined Graycor in 1999 as an Assistant Project Manager. Throughout his three decades on the team, he has been instrumental in the success of projects of all types, sizes and delivery methods. He is a member of Graycor’s Senior Leadership Team and works to continuously improve our processes companywide and foster a positive culture across all business units. When he’s not working, Steve can be found woodworking or hitting the links. He is an active parishioner at his church and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Valparaiso University. He is a certified Professional Engineer and a LEED Accredited Professional.

Becky is a strategic and results-driven marketing leader with over 15 years of experience, including 8 years specializing in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry. She has a proven track record of helping construction firms strengthen their brands, enhance market presence and secure high-value projects through targeted marketing and business development efforts. In her role, Becky leads strategic and tactical marketing and business development initiatives to support overall company objectives and drive growth. She currently oversees a national marketing team responsible for executing integrated communication, pursuit and digital strategies that elevate brand presence, enhance client engagement and deliver measurable results. Her passion outside of construction is spending time with her husband and two boys. Whether she is sitting in the bleachers of a basketball or volleyball game, reading, hiking or traveling the world, Becky is always up for a new adventure. Becky holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Bradley University.

Chris serves as Graycor’s Manager of Human Resources and Craft Workforce Development in our Southeast region. She leads all craft recruiting and development efforts, focusing on building and maintaining a talent pipeline to support Graycor’s self-perform efforts. Chris employs a cross-functional leadership style to align employees with organizational goals and ensure positive engagement. She has worked as an HR professional since 2008 having held roles in municipal government and construction settings. Chris is experienced in all aspects of human resources including talent acquisition, employee engagement and training, performance management, policy and procedure development and compliance. Chris spends her weekends cheering on her daughters at their dance competitions, volunteering as a Girl Scout Troop Leader or gardening. She and her family also enjoy traveling, especially to the Happiest Place on Earth. Chris earned a bachelor's degree in business from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, her MBA from the University of South Carolina Aiken, and is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).

Brian started his career at Graycor as an intern in 1994. He joined the company directly out of college in 1998, rising in responsibility to his current position as General Manager for Graycor’s Midwest Division. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Brian focuses on leveraging our people's strengths and resources to drive sustainable business growth and advancement. In this role, Brian is responsible for overseeing the Midwest team and developing and executing strategic initiatives to consistently fill his region’s pipeline of projects—including jobs reflecting the area’s robust retail and industrial markets, as well as its national shopping center resume. At the heart of these activities is Brian’s desire to see his team members succeed not only in their careers but also in their ability to meet and exceed the expectations of every Graycor client. Brian takes that same energy home with him, where he enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys, and their broad interests in sports, planes and music. Brian’s other loves include golf, running and the occasional downhill skiing adventure. Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Purdue University. He is a LEED Accredited Professional.

As Business Development Director, Manufacturing, Jeff dedicates his time to developing and growing Graycor’s contacts and presence in the manufacturing sector across our regions. He has more than 35 years of experience delivering capital projects, including 25 years of business development experience focused solely on the industrial manufacturing market. He is experienced with all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning through construction, for both greenfield facilities and expansions of existing facilities. Jeff previously held roles on the owner’s side of the business, as well as with a design and construction services provider, giving him a keen understanding of the challenges clients face in executing projects. He is skilled at developing and maintaining relationships and prioritizes listening and catering to the specific needs of each client. Jeff loves to hit the pavement on his road bike in his free time. Now that they’re empty nesters, he and his wife get away as much as possible, especially to their favorite locales: Key West and the South Carolina coast. He especially enjoys spending time with his adult children, who feel like great friends. Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech and is a certified Professional Engineer.

Brett serves as the General Manager for Graycor’s Southwest Division and leads the effort to grow and diversify our footprint in the region. He is focused on fortifying and expanding new and existing relationships with clients and ensuring our Southwest teams are set up with the operational resources to succeed. With more than 30 years of experience, much of it based in the Phoenix area, he brings extensive experience in data center, semiconductor, life sciences, higher education, healthcare and corporate office markets. He is passionate about developing and supporting project staff and loves nothing more than bringing a team together to accomplish a common goal. In his free time, Brett can be found in the great outdoors with family and friends. He especially enjoys camping, heading to the desert in the winter and the mountains in the summer. Brett earned his bachelor's degree in construction management from Purdue University.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Brad focuses on leveraging our people's strengths and resources to drive sustainable business growth and advancement. Brad is actively engaged in overseeing, leading, and mentoring project teams operating within the metals market to ensure our clients' needs are met by executing construction services to the highest standards, with unwavering dedication to safety, schedule adherence, quality assurance, and budgetary considerations. Beyond his professional pursuits, Brad finds immense joy in spending time outdoors with his family and friends. Whether it's embarking on vacations, hiking through picturesque landscapes, boating excursions, hitting the slopes for skiing adventures, or indulging in a round of golf, he relishes opportunities to connect with nature and create lasting memories with those who are most dear to him. As Business Development Manager, Brianna plays a key role in the growth of Graycor in the Southwest. Brianna leverages more than 10 years of commercial real estate experience to drive our strategic growth in the manufacturing, retail/hospitality, industrial, and healthcare markets. She is adept at identifying new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships and cultivating long-term relationships with key stakeholders. As a driven strategist, Brianna applies her executive leadership expertise in marketing, strategy and client services, contributing significantly to our regional senior leadership team. Working in tandem with Graycor’s national business development team, Brianna looks at every opportunity to draw upon the company’s national capabilities in support of our regional efforts. In her free time, Brianna enjoys staying active and spending quality time with her husband and four children. Brianna holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Louisville. She is actively involved in NAIOP, the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, Urban Land Institute, and CREW. Brianna is also a board member for ACE Mentor Program of Arizona and is a passionate advocate for workforce development in the architectural, engineering and construction (AEC) industry. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Steve focuses on leveraging our people's strengths and resources to drive sustainable business growth and advancement. Steve also co-chairs Graycor’s Operational Excellence Committee, spearheading our continuous improvement efforts by implementing industry best practices to improve project execution while mitigating risk. Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. While Steve likes playing basketball and pickleball, his true passion lies in watching his daughters play collegiate volleyball. To unwind, Steve enjoys spending time with his family. Steve holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in industrial management from Northern Illinois University. A professional for over 20 years, more than a decade with Graycor, Michelle’s passion for people, culture, strategy and systems serves her well as Graycor's Vice President of Performance Excellence and ESG. She is charged with implementing the strategies that help Graycor achieve its Continuous Improvement, Change Management and Organizational Development goals while also safeguarding the environment and cultivating positive relationships with employees, clients, subcontractors and suppliers across the communities that Graycor serves. In her role, Michelle directs Graycor’s overarching Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy, focusing on strengthening sustainability practices and advancing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts. She also works with the Operational Excellence Committee to improve operations and results and enhance the work-life balance of Graycor’s most valuable asset—its people. A Latina from Juárez, Mexico, Michelle is passionate about learning, traveling, music, movies and languages. She has been married to her husband Ray since 2019. A spicy salsa, corn tortillas and perfumes also make her very happy. Michelle holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez and MSc (master’s) degree in construction project management from the University of Manchester. She completed graduate studies in Quality and Productivity Management with the Central Japan Industries Association, is certified by the American Society of Quality and is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign.

With more than two decades of experience and a career with Graycor since 2003, Jyot serves as General Manager for the Southeast Division. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Jyot focuses on leveraging our people's strengths and resources to drive sustainable business growth and advancement. His servantship leadership style provides a clear line of sight between individual growth and organizational success. Having been shaped by Graycor’s nurturing culture, Jyot actively contributes to the company’s mentorship program to support the meaningful growth of our people. Jyot is responsible for expanding Graycor’s organizational resume in the Southeast. He works with senior managers based in Charlotte and Raleigh, NC; Greenville, SC; and Kennesaw, GA, by establishing and fostering national and regional client relationships. Working with executive leadership, Jyot ensures the implementation of Graycor’s strategic plan which focuses on building a cohesive operating business unit in the Southeast, including self-perform work and general contracting services. His expertise stems from having managed a full spectrum of complex projects nationally for global clients in industrial buildings (ambient and temp controlled), manufacturing, retail and entertainment. In addition to providing executive oversight for business development, preconstruction and construction efforts in the Southeast, Jyot oversees the implementation of organizational best practices for planning and risk management. Outside of Graycor, Jyot dotes on his family—his wife, two daughters and son. He is a passionate volunteer for the Art of Living Foundation and International Association of Human Values. Jyot is also fond of percussion instruments, cooking and golf. Jyot holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Nirma Institute of Technology, as well as a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

With 10 years of experience in the learning and professional development space, Allison serves as Manager, Organizational learning, responsible for delivering programs and collaborations to meet Graycor’s training, development, performance management and continuous improvement benchmarks. Alison is responsible for providing effective employee onboarding and orientation, developing technical skills training and professional development programs and materials, and providing oversight of Graycor’s talent management system. A consummate collaborator and driven by opportunities to help others unlock their full potential, she also regularly partners with Graycor’s Project Engineering Mentoring Program and Operational Excellence Committee, enhancing their ability to further drive the company’s learning efforts. Allison enjoys traveling, reading and cooking, but most of all loves spending time with her husband and two young sons. She holds a bachelor’s degree in corporate communications from Northern Illinois University.

Having held multiple positions with Graycor since 2005, Chris continues to provide valuable insight to the proposal teams in the development and execution of bid strategies—critical building blocks in the overall sales success of the Graycor organization. Furthermore, Chris’ strong understanding of risk mitigation helps to ensure Graycor’s risk profile is carefully managed and maintained. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Chris focuses on leveraging our people's strengths and resources to drive sustainable business growth and advancement. When he’s not serving as an estimating champion to ensure continuous improvement opportunities with his team, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. Their favorite adventures include traveling abroad to experience the history and culture of other countries, and watching or attending motorsport events, of which they are avid fans. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign and is a graduate of Graycor’s Leaders of Others development program.

A 20-plus-year industry veteran, John serves as Director of Capital Investments, responsible for managing the Graycor Capital platform and sourcing equity capital investment opportunities that leverage Graycor’s more than 100-year history and drive the construction business. John brings with him decades of experience as a corporate real estate development manager, senior real estate development project manager and commercial broker. With these skills, John is uniquely equipped to evaluate and pursue opportunities on behalf of Graycor’s private investment funds, and to uphold its function as a smart, creative and nimble team. John holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a master’s degree in project management from Northwestern University.

As Manager of Information Technology, Ryan Schultz keeps all aspects of Graycor’s technology infrastructure running smoothly and efficiently. With over 22 years of experience in IT and software development, with more than half of those years at Graycor, Ryan puts his expertise to work, day in and day out. He leads his talented team in hardware and software management, helpdesk and the cloud. Ryan also never rests on his laurels, always monitoring industry trends and working with departments across the organization to ensure Graycor remains ahead of the industry curve, with the technology it needs to tackle those hard jobs. When not with his wife and four beautiful children, Ryan (a self-proclaimed techie) spends his time outside of Graycor giving back as a member of his town’s IT commission. He’s also a board member of the local Amateur Radio Society and part of the tech-based DIY maker culture, with interests in 3D printing, microcontrollers, circuit design and programming. Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications management from DeVry University.

This includes evaluating business strategies, creating timely market plans and educating and mentoring team members on best practices to open new avenues of opportunity and nurture relationships that safeguard the long-term prosperity of the company. John is thankful for his strong and encouraging group of friends and family. He is an avid runner/jogger and also enjoys golf, basketball and cycling—both as a way to maintain his own personal health and balance, and in support of the community and others. John holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Kentucky and is a Procore Certified Project Manager.

A member of the Graycor team for more than two decades, Scott serves as Vice President of Operations, working to develop annual plans and the long-term vision for the organization. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Scott focuses on leveraging our people's strengths and resources to drive sustainable business growth and advancement. Scott is also a hands-on leader who prioritizes direct collaboration with Graycor clients and project teams. Leveraging his more than 40 years of diverse market experience, Scott listens and learns, and then creates and deploys best practices to ensure Graycor and its clients prosper in today’s ever-changing construction environment. An avid outdoorsman, Scott jumps at the chance to go boating or hop on his road or mountain bike – often as part of charity rides around the metro Charlotte area. As a father of three and grandfather of three, Scott enjoys spending time with his fantastic family (who from time to time puts Scott’s talents to work on the improvement of their own homes.) Scott holds a degree in Educational/Instructional Technology from the College of DuPage. He has been a member of ULI’s southeast group since 2017, participating in the continuing development of the growth in the Southeast U.S.

Over his past 20-plus-year construction career, John has cultivated an in-depth knowledge and expertise in all facets of the industry from skilled crafts to senior operations management. John brings a collaborative and consultative leadership style to his role as Project Executive. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, John focuses on leveraging our people's strengths and resources to drive sustainable business growth and advancement. The opportunity to mentor employees is one thing John appreciates. A primary focus for John is maintaining and establishing effective relationships with current and prospective owners, partners and subcontractors to build the business. He is also responsible for providing overall direction and financial performance for Graycor’s construction operations. He does so by developing, planning, coordinating and managing all aspects of projects from inception to completion while maintaining operational priorities. John promotes a boots-on-the-ground, operational-driven approach that is committed to ensuring each project achieves its safety, quality, productivity and financial goals while maximizing standards of excellence. John is skilled at monitoring the status of multiple project contracts, schedules, productivity and costs. In addition to being well-verse in EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) and design-build project delivery, John’s expertise also includes constructability, early contractor involvement, estimating, turnarounds/shutdowns, capital new construction large and small across multiple markets. Outside of the Graycor family, John enjoys spending time with his wife, three daughters, granddaughter and French bulldog. One of John’s favorite pastimes is relaxing on the boat with family and friends.

As Executive Vice President, Human Resources & Organizational Development, Brett develops and implements Graycor’s people programs in the areas of recruitment and selection, talent development, succession planning, retention, total rewards, organizational development and employee engagement. With over two decades of industry experience—more than half of that spent at Graycor—Brett is staunchly committed to the professional development, achievement, and well-being of Graycor's employees. Brett shares that commitment with his fellow executive leadership team who recognize that its people are at the heart of Graycor’s past, present and future. Brett’s vitality for life and for others extends into his personal life, where he enjoys golf and fishing, and coaching basketball, football and baseball teams for his four children. Brett holds a bachelor’s degree in human resource management from Illinois State University, an MBA from Lewis University and is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

As Secretary/Manager, Project Accounting, Cheryl Welcome applies over three decades of experience, almost all of those with Graycor, to ensure alignment between the company’s accounting and operational functions as it relates to billings, reporting, forecasting and audits. Specific responsibilities include assisting with monthly forecasting, budget vs actual variances, annual operating budgets and annual auditing. Her experience gained through numerous Graycor roles and responsibilities over her tenure makes Cheryl an invaluable coach and mentor—prioritizing client needs, upholding the highest ethical standards and encouraging colleagues according to her own, “Doing, not just saying,” approach to success. Outside of Graycor, you’ll likely find Cheryl at the lake…reading a mystery novel, listening to good music or simply relaxing with family and friends. She also loves traveling and exploring new places with them. Cheryl holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from DeVry University.

As Manager, Claims & Loss Prevention, Sharon mitigates financial risk by reducing and preventing claims at Graycor. With over 25 years of insurance claim and loss prevention experience, she serves as point person between project safety personnel, clinics, third party administrators and attorneys—dedicated to building strong and respectful relationships that facilitate a smooth claims process. Sharon’s specific responsibilities include managing workers compensation, auto liability and third-party claims for the Graycor family of companies. She also manages the employee drug testing program and acts as the liaison between safety and legal/risk teams to ensure accurate safety-related statistics. Sharon is an avid basketball fan, loves family time and prioritizes philanthropy, volunteering at a nearby homeless shelter and Feed My Starving Children. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, a Legal Principles Claims Specialist designation from the American Educational Institute and a Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) certification from the International Risk Management Institute.

A member of the Graycor team since 2017, Bill serves as Vice President, Corporate Counsel & Risk Management. His more than 16 years of industry experience includes roles as in-house corporate counsel for three of the nation’s largest construction companies, offering him a deep understanding of the many nuances of Graycor’s operations. Bill applies that knowledge daily to support Graycor’s continued growth, overseeing all legal matters, directing its risk management and insurance programs, and resolving issues so that Graycor teams can focus on completing successful projects. Bill is a history buff and a fan of Xavier University Men's Basketball. Despite being a Chicago Bears fan, Bill may not always approve of their playing style. He loves his family, his pugs and a great rock concert. If you’re lucky, you might even find him singing in a rock band. Bill holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Xavier University and a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. He is a member of the Illinois Bar, the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Illinois and the U.S. Court of Appeal for the Seventh Circuit (2004).
