Bosch’s Lincolnton Expansion includes construction of a new 330,000 SF greenfield manufacturing campus, featuring 310,000 SF of manufacturing and utility space and 20,000 SF of administrative space with offices, labs, training, and support areas.
The primary facility, Lct 102, includes a rooftop technical floor housing electrical equipment. Supporting structures include a Central Utility Building (Lct 105), recycle shed (Lct 108), fire tank and pump house with foam system, and a pipe rack distributing utilities from the CUB to the main building. Site work includes roads, utilities, fencing, and a 350-stall employee and visitor parking lot with future expansion capacity.
During early excavation, an unexpected rock pocket required blasting while work was sequenced to maintain progress. More than 80 days of winter rain then delayed concrete operations, prompting the team to implement cement stabilization to reinforce the building pad and allow slab pours to continue. Later, electrical gear production delays were mitigated through direct coordination with the manufacturer and bi-weekly meetings, keeping installation aligned with project milestones and maintaining the overall schedule.
