Graycor Construction Company completed a new distribution facility for FedEx Ground and Scannell Properties in Fresno, California. Scannell Properties is a leading national build-to-suit developer and the largest developer of FedEx facilities in the U.S. FedEx Ground is a leading North American provider of ground small-package delivery services, providing service to the U.S. and Canada.

The 199,000 square foot build-to-suit FedEx Ground package delivery and sorting facility is constructed with a concrete tilt-up wall and wood hybrid roof structure. The project was a Design/Build effort between Graycor and Precept Architects and sits on approximately 20 acres.

The new, state-of-the-art facility will replace an existing FedEx Ground facility nearby and allow FedEx Ground to continue to meet and exceed customer demands in the region. The site provides ease of access to major highways, proximity to customers’ distribution centers and a strong local community workforce for recruiting employees.

“Working on this project and with the teams from FedEx Ground and Scannell Properties was a great opportunity for us,” according to Todd Ostransky, General Manager, who leads the Logistics & Distribution markets at Graycor. “This project is a critical piece of the FedEx Ground infrastructure and we enjoyed the chance to play a significant role in its development.”

Graycor is also currently working on another build-to-suit distribution facility for FedEx Ground and Scannell Properties in Rialto, California and has worked on logistics & distribution projects for ALDI, Amazon, Duke Realty, Electrolux, Home Depot, MiTek, Pannatoni Development, Prologis and Seefried Industrial Properties.
