Graycor Construction has partnered with full-service real estate company Casto for construction of the new AMC Randhurst 12 at Randhurst Village in Mt. Prospect, Ill. The project is a unique entertainment concept featuring the latest in technology and many new amenities for moviegoers. Through strong collaboration between Graycor Construction and Casto, AMC Randhurst 12 will also be the first AMC theater in the United States positioned to achieve LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Construction of the AMC Randhurst 12 incorporates several elements of sustainable design, including the use of locally sourced materials and efficient mechanical systems, to achieve optimal energy conservation. This will offer significant benefits to the technologically-advanced property, which features digital projection in all auditoriums, including 3D screens and live broadcast capabilities. The theater will also contain one IMAX® auditorium with the latest in digital and sound technology, an updated concessions area, and a café. “With help from Graycor and Casto, we will deliver an innovative and highly-functional space that will offer guests a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience,” said Kerry Stanley, project manager, AMC. “Graycor’s vast knowledge of the latest trends and design requirements for entertainment venues, and their ability to overlay these with sustainable building practices, will allow us to provide a space that promises guests an excellent experience while minimizing the environmental impact,” Stanley added.
