By advancing our sustainable practices, we are creating a positive impact.

As a key contributor in the AEC (architecture, engineering and construction) industry, Graycor recognizes the importance of doing business in a way that is consistent and aligned with our values.

We embrace business and project practices that safeguard the environment, strengthen the economic and social well-being of the communities where we live and work and warrant the safety of individuals—protecting lives and well-being of people. To ensure corporate social justice and equity within our organization, Graycor adheres to the JUST Criteria principles established by the International Living Future Institute. These principles serve as our guide to promote fairness and equality in all aspects of our operations.

Graycor’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) program guides us in how to be stewards of the environment, drive social progress and development while considering people and relationships, and establishing a strong governance for business growth and stability.

Environmental: Through Stewardship

As good stewards of the built environment, Graycor’s approach to sustainability is focused on meeting the present needs of society without sacrificing the needs of future generations. We recognize we not only play an important role in adopting and advancing sustainable business practices within our organization, but we can make an even greater impact when we partner with our clients to support their sustainability commitments and goals towards achieving Net Zero Carbon facilities, as well as providing energy solutions resulting in cost and energy-efficient savings. We are here to help our clients by applying the most responsible sustainable methods without losing sight of safety, quality, cost, and schedule.

We have professional staff with ample knowledge and expertise in environmental methodologies. Our team works with the owner and architect in the design phase to meet the design sustainability requirements while achieving the budget or schedule targets.

Social: Considering People and Relationships

Graycor prioritizes people and relationships as our most valued assets. We are committed to promoting social responsibility both within our company and with our clients, partners, subcontractors and vendors.

Safety

Safety is our highest priority. Our safety culture is one that is holistic in nature and represented through our “Building a Culture of Care” and is an integral part of the way we do business. Our safety program ensures both physical and psychological worker health and safety are considered.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI)

We embrace Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) by creating an inclusive work environment where all employees feel safe and respected, are able to thrive, and where we embrace and leverage their diverse and unique backgrounds, talents, and interests to advance the business. Through our DEI program, our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) such as the Women’s Employee Resource Group, LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group and the Safeguards Employee Resource Group created to provide mental health support, offer employees with shared characteristics, background, and interests the opportunity to come together to support and learn from one another.

Supplier Diversity

Graycor recognizes the importance of Supplier Diversity in all aspects of our business and procurement practices. Strengthening and using minority-owned businesses, women-owned businesses and small businesses contributes to the economic growth and expansion of the communities we serve. If you are a diverse business interested in joining efforts with Graycor, please reach out to michelle_palys@graycor.com or marie_hernandez@graycor.com.

The Graycor Community Fund Program (GCFP)

The Graycor Community Fund Program (GCFP) was established to enhance the quality of life for people in the communities where we live and work. Building the quality of our communities is more than just constructing a quality building. The GCFP is dedicated to supporting the charitable and civic activities of our associates by delivering financial and volunteer assistance to 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations that deliver basic needs, such as food, shelter, education, and healthcare, as well as civic, environmental, and cultural programs within our communities.

Governance: Business Growth and Stability

With a long-term perspective at the forefront of what we do, Graycor’s strategy promotes business growth and stability while adhering to strong corporate governance practices to ensure accountability, transparency, and ethical decision-making. As a company that has operated for more than a century, we’ve established business practices that are built on industry standards and best practices to meet and exceed client expectations, while complying with all applicable laws and regulations.
