Project Scope

Graycor Construction Company was the general contractor for the new ArcLight Cinemas which is a part of NEWCITY, a 600,000-square-foot mixed-use development of shopping, dining and entertainment in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. The theatre in Chicago is ArcLight’s first location in the Midwest.

With a mission to create the best movie-going environment possible, the 14-screen, 1830-seat, state-of-the-art theater presents ArcLight’s signature amenities including reserved seating, black-box auditoriums, commercial-free movies and gourmet cuisine. Other features of the theater include a full bar, café and concessions and 21+ lounge. The project involved extensive FF&E coordination.
