A company known for combining retail with entertainment, conservation and outdoor education, Springfield, MO-based Bass Pro Shops chose Graycor to build their new destination retail center featuring the retailer′s line of outdoor sports-leisure equipment in a setting highlighted by unique aquatic and wildlife displays designed to attract visitors from far and wide.

The 130,000-square-foot outdoor store also houses an 8,000-square-foot Islamorada Fish Company restaurant, a 25-boat slip marina and an expansive boat showroom featuring a complete selection of boats built by Tracker Marine Group the world′s largest manufacturer of fishing boats. Additional features of the new Bass Pro Shops store include a large exterior pond; an amphitheater-like seating area to be used as an outdoor classroom; and a 40-foot-tall, indoor water feature which includes a mountain, waterfall, pond, pedestrian bridge, glass elevators and a 20,000-gallon freshwater fish tank. The Portage Bass Pro Shops store which marks the retailer′s second in Indiana is located just off of Interstate 94 and State Route 249 at AmeriPlex at the Port, a 388-acre high-tech industrial/commercial park also built by Graycor.

Other Bass Pro Shops built by Graycor include locations in Bolingbrook, Illinois; Cary, North Carolina; East Peoria, Illinois; Nashville, Tennessee (post-flood renovations); and Spanish Fort, Alabama.
