Project Scope
Graycor Construction Company Inc. completed the dine-in theatre (DIT) conversion at AMC Easton Town Center 30 Theatres in Columbus, Ohio’s Easton Town Center Mall. The new dine-in theatre gives movie goers restaurant options, complete with seat-side service at the touch of a button. Nine auditoriums were remodeled to the Fork & Screen casual dining format and four auditoriums to the more upscale Cinema Suites that offer personal recliners. In addition, a kitchen, and a McGuffins bar along with common area and restroom remodeling were completed.
Remodeling required demolition of the existing traditional setup, construction and MEP changes, and the installation of owner supplied FF&E.
The common areas and auditoriums not under construction remained open throughout construction. Careful scheduling and coordination with theatre and mall management helped minimize the impact of construction for theatre and mall patrons and the adjacent tenants.
Graycor Construction completed DIT Conversions for AMC’s in Chicago Ridge, Ill; Phoenix, Ariz. and Marina Del Rey, Calif. In addition, Graycor also built AMC Randhurst 12 in Mount Prospect, Ill., AMC’s first Silver LEED certified theatre, and the first LEED Silver theatre in the Midwest.
