A&Co. chose Graycor to provide construction management services on their project to build The Shops at Atlas Park, a 400,000-square-foot lifestyle center located in the Glendale section of Queens, New York City. The project, which has brought New York its first-ever lifestyle center, called for transforming a 12-acre, 85-year-old industrial park into an open-air, upscale lifestyle center that offers the surrounding densely populated urban community an array of retail, dining and entertainment choices.

The Shops at Atlas Park – comprised of eight white-washed, European-style buildings encircling ‘The Green’, a 2.3-acre park – includes a mix of national and local specialty retailers, six restaurants and eateries, an eight-screen, state-of-the-art theatre, a fitness center, office space and two multi-level parking garages with a total capacity of 1,600 vehicles. The Green is designed to create a casual ‘town center’ gathering place and features an inter-active fountain for children and adults, as well as an elliptical-shaped drive to provide convenient drop-off access to the center’s shops and restaurants.

When completely occupied, The Shops will house more than 55 stores, services and restaurants, all contained within 350,000 square feet of retail space and 50,000 square feet of office space.
