Project Scope

Urban Retail Properties Co. engaged Graycor for a major renovation of Water Tower Place, Chicago′s first vertical mall. The 700,000-square-foot mall was constructed in 1976 by Inland Construction Co., which Graycor acquired in 1982. The multimillion-dollar project is the malls first major renovation since being built which included expanding the Michigan Avenue lobby and storefront, installing stainless-steel cladding and 42-foot-tall light fixtures on the façade, and creating a new lobby water feature.
