Project Scope
Graycor Construction renovated the entrances at Woodfield Mall, one of the nation’s largest premier retail centers with more than 300 stores and restaurants.
Graycor was able to maintain access to all of Woodfield’s six entrances during the mall’s operating hours by working on two entrances at a time, utilizing both day and night crews. One-half of entry was shut down for work to be performed, while the entry’s other half remained open. To avoid impact on shoppers, Graycor performed all of the demolition, steel, heavy framing and storefronts work at night.
The scope of work included new multi-colored, stained concrete sidewalks, glass canopies and screenwalls, stone, exterior insulation and finishing system (EIFS), metal panel façades with stainless steel reveals and new aluminum storefronts clad in stainless steel.
