The Divert Energy Integrated Diversion and Energy Facility in Lexington, NC, is a 75,000 SF greenfield development spanning more than 200 acres, designed to convert food waste into renewable natural gas (RNG). The project integrates advanced processing systems with extensive civil, structural, mechanical and electrical infrastructure to support sustainable energy production.
Construction includes multiple high-clearance industrial buildings, reinforced concrete foundations and slabs, insulated walls, overhead crane systems, stormwater management, fire suppression, loading docks and rail integration. Additional scope includes heavy equipment setting, precision rigging, process and utility piping, Balance of Plant (BOP) electrical systems, insulation and protective coatings.
Leveraging its self-perform capabilities, Graycor also fabricated and erected structural steel platforms, elevated walkways and engineered pipe supports, providing safe equipment access and critical support for complex piping networks. Together, these integrated systems will support efficient operations and long-term renewable energy production.
